Dr. Howlett is a 1987 graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, and spent the first 18 years of her chiropractic career in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. She relocated to Peterborough in September 2005.

Dr. Howlett also brings to the treatment table 15 years of CranioSacral Therapy experience. She has completed her Advanced II training, and often volunteers as a teaching assistant from the introductory to advanced levels.

Dr. Howlett is also a certified Active Release Techniques, or ART, provider. ART is a patented, state-of-the-art soft tissue system that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves.

This combination or skill set of Chiropractic, CST, and ART allows Dr. Howlett maximum flexibility in what she can offer to her patients, allowing safe and effective treatment for patients of all ages — from newborn to the aged. Dr. Howlett welcomes patients from all walks of life, regardless of activity or fitness level. Treatment programs are tailored to each patient’s unique and specific needs.

Dr. Howlett also travels to the United States every other month as part of the core therapy team at Integrative Intentions. Their Comprehensive Therapy Programs bring together therapists from various professions, providing a comprehensive spectrum of skills and therapeutic modalities. The therapists have a shared basis in CST (CranioSacral Therapy) and SER (SomatoEmotional Release), which is the primary treatment modality. These are supplemented with multiple complementary therapies. The core therapy team has completed Advanced training in CST and SER. The common background in principles and treatment brings cooperation and integrity to the programs. These programs bring together a comprehensive team with a broad spectrum of skills. Clients participating in the Comprehensive Therapy Program enjoy 5 full days of multi-hands treatment sessions, allowing for maximum therapeutic benefits. In the near future, Dr. Howlett hopes to bring Integrative Intentions and the Comprehensive Therapy Program to Ontario.
